The Farlows Hampton tweed coat is a brand-new piece within our Farlows ladies collection for this Autumn. It is a very versatile crossover ladies country coat, that is just as at home walking through a muddy field on a Sunday afternoon as it is walking around Mayfair during the week.
It’s a relaxed combination of a tailored hacking jacket and a fieldcoat. With soft-structured shoulders and a double vent at the rear it does resemble a more formal style of jacket. But the high collar, large fleece lined hand pockets and mini action back really help give it that practical country elegance! As with the majority of our Farlows collection, the Hampton coat is proudly made in England, with tweed made in the Scottish Borders.
Spruce/Thistle Check is a new tweed we developed, which is exclusive to Farlows. Woven in Hawick, Scottish Borders. It is a fantastic mid-weight tweed weighing 430g per running metre. Grounds of lovat, olive and sage green with a thistle/heather coloured triple over check
Fabric then sent to Northamptonshire, England, to our master coatmakers, with over 40 years’ experience. Marked, cut, sewn by hand
Rigorous quality control inspection by people not machines
Military twill lining, for ease to slip on and off with layers underneath
High quality metal double zip with self tweed buttoned storm flap
One zippered internal pocket
Two fleece lined hand pockets
Set in sleeve with a mini action back for added movement in the field
Double vent at the rear for extra movement, with button & Alcantara detail
High collar with loden inside lining to keep neck warm
Alcantara detailing all over garment to give that added luxury feel
