The longer boot in Meindl's Dovre is totally waterproof, of course, and as with all leather boots, they will look better with age.
The height of the boot makes it protective in muddy conditions and the rigidity gives excellent ankle support yet has enough flexibility to be comfortable straight out of the box.

Sole - Meindl Multigriff By Vibram. The PU soft-tread wedge encloses the shock absorber in the heel area like a cup, thereby ensuring soft cushioning. The opening in the PU wedge on the side helps to better reduce the absorbed energy
