Our Voe Shetland is a completely undyed yarn which is spun in the natural colour of the fleece. Named after the picturesque village in Shetland that sits at the head of a deep sea loch. The Shetland breed of sheep native to this area is a hardy breed. They are often found clambering over the dangerous Voe cliffs to reach the sea shore and eat seaweed at the shore line. The unique wool they produce is world renowned and was famously worn by Sir Edmund Hillary when climbing Everest in 1953. Exclusive and highly prized , Voe Shetland is a pure, natural, undyed virgin wool, sorted by hand by Island experts to give you the finest quality and the most authentic Shetland knitwear available.
This medium weight knit is comfortable to wear shooting, walking, or to just throw on in the evening. A very versatile piece of knitwear.
