KING’S SALMON FLY BOX AUCTION
£7,000 RAISED FOR THE ATLANTIC SALMON TRUST WITH THE FARLOWS
Last year to celebrate the Coronation of King Charles III Farlows customers were asked to vote for the top 12 salmon flies they thought he should have. Farlows then presented His Majesty with a bespoke commemorative fly box, handmade from English oak, walnut and elm and holding the winning 12 flies. They actually had two identical boxes made at the same time, so they could auction the second one later, with all the proceeds to be donated to the Atlantic Salmon Trust (His Majesty the King is their Patron).
When Farlows was honoured with a Royal Warrant from HM King Charles III earlier this year, they decided there could be no better time to launch the auction. There are only two King’s Salmon Fly Collection boxes in existence. His Majesty has one and Farlows hosted a “blind” auction for its customers to own the other, complete with the 12 winning flies.
The auction opened on July 14 June and closed on 31 August 2024.

The winning bid from Owen Kirk was an incredible £7,000, which has now been paid the Atlantic Salmon Trust.

HOW TO ENTER
This is a “blind” auction, so you won’t be able to see anyone else’s bid. Which means you’ll have to think hard about what you’re prepared to pay to own this one off prize. To enter, simply put your details and the amount you are prepared to bid in the entry form below. The auction closes at midnight on 31st August 2024.
The winner will be the highest bid and notified in the first week of September 2024. We’ll also announce it on our social channels (please advise below if you’d rather remain anonymous).
100% of the proceeds from the winning bid will be donated to the Atlantic Salmon Trust.

Terms and Conditions
- All bids must be entered in GBP (£)
- The auction will close at midnight on 31st August 2024
- Customers are allowed to resubmit a higher bid at any point until the competition closes
- The prize of the fly box and the 12 flies cannot be exchanged, substituted or altered in any way
- The winner will be required to pay the total amount of their bid to Farlows Ltd before the prize will be posted to them. Farlows Ltd will then transfer the same amount to the Atlantic Salmon Trust
- In the event of the winner not paying, the prize will go to the next highest bid
- Farlows Ltd will store your data securely for purposes of competition administration only. You will not be contacted by us for any other purpose unless you have expressly requested that we do so and we will not share your data with any third party. You may request your data be deleted at any time
