Farlows Litchfield Tweed Field Coat

The Farlows Litchfield tweed coat is our ultimate men’s field coat.

It is an exceptionally practical, fully waterproof shooting coat that’s an essential part of your men's shooting attire, and for the hardened outdoor enthusiast it can also double up as a country coat. It comes in a variety of tweeds of different weights that are exclusively woven for Farlows in Hawick, Scottish Borders. All of our tweeds are finished with a Teflon coating to ensure water naturally runs off the tweed, along with a waterproof membrane drop liner to ensure the coat is 100% waterproof.

The Ettrick Rust Check tweed is new for AW24. It’s a robust tweed at 640g/m2 and the quality has long been a favourite tweed for the dedicated sports enthusiast. Ettrick tweeds use 100% wool from Cheviot sheep, these yarns are renowned for their rich colour tones and hardy feel and unmatched performance. We designed this tweed to be incredibly hard working, whilst also being very understated but with a splash of colour in the dark rich reds. This makes it the perfect tweed for UK shooting.

The Moss Glenugie Check at 430g/m is a fantastic hard-wearing yet light and wearable tweed, made from 100% wool with a worsted and lambswool high twist construction. It’s lighter in colour when compared to our other sporting tweeds, in a refreshing mossy green glen check with a striking burgundy overcheck that suits UK countryside so well whilst keeping the fabric understated.

Our Green Herringbone tweed is our core sporting tweed that we have produced for some time. At 500 g/m it’s a very understated, minimalist but luxurious tweed woven on a medium set herringbone. It’s the perfect all-rounder!
