Celebrating What We Love: Farlows Video Competition

We want to celebrate what’s wonderful about fly fishing, game shooting, dogs and the great British countryside. So we’re inviting you to submit your short videos that capture the essence of what we all love.

Every 6 months we’ll choose what we think are the top 3 entrants and award the winners some Farlows e-vouchers, with £150 for 1st place, £75 for 2nd and £30 for 3rd.

The subject can be anything that relates to your passion for being outdoors, for example:

• Fish rising to a fly, a salmon released safely or one that didn’t make it to the net, the beauty of the water, magnificent landscapes or the natural world you experience while out fishing
• Country walks in magnificent scenery, the changing seasons and the wildlife you encounter, muddy wellies and windswept faces
• Pheasant flying high above you, the camaraderie of a day’s shooting, guns walking to their pegs on a frosty morning
• And of course anything to do with dogs!

All we ask is that videos must be between 10 and 60 seconds long and shot in portrait format. It’s time to get your phone out and start filming!

We’ll promote the winning videos on our social channels with credit to each entrant, and sometimes if the quality of entries is really high we’ll also promote some of those who didn’t win.

Closing dates for the two annual competitions are September 30th and March 31st. You can also check out our photo competition if photography is more your thing.

Terms & Conditions*

1. Videos must be longer than 10 seconds and shorter than 60 seconds and shot in portrait format.
2. Videos must be submitted through a link rather than actual attachments.
3. By submitting a link to your video, you are giving Farlows & Sportfish (both part of Farlows Ltd) permission to use it, in its original or edited form, in future marketing material, on our website, email communications and our social media pages.
4. Farlows Ltd may contact entrants to obtain high resolution video files for any videos submitted.
5. Videos must be submitted with the full permission of both the videographer and anyone who can be identified from the video.
6. The competition will be judged by the Farlows marketing team and its decision is final.
7. Winners will receive Farlows vouchers which must be used within one month after issue and which will be valid for online use only (£150 for 1st place, £75 for 2nd, £30 for 3rd).
8. Farlows Ltd will store your data securely for purposes of competition administration only and for obtaining high resolution video files if required. You will not be contacted by us for any other purpose unless you have expressly requested that we do so and we will not share your data with any third party. You may request your data be deleted at any time.
