How to fish the Rapala Original Floater: When fishing very skinny water keep the rod tip up and retrieve slowly so that the lure bulges the surface. To cause more commotion on the surface use either a twitching retrieve or stop & go retrieve, allowing the lure to float back up to the surface before twitching or reeling again. In flowing water & in addition to the traditional down-and-across casts & try imitating injured baitfish by casting upstream or quartering upstream and let the current bring the floating lure down, reeling just enough to keep the line tight and twitching the lure slightly on the surface film.
