Our Safari Jacket stays true to its roots of Safari/Travel clothing but has a comtempory and very wearable feel of a versatile wardrobe stable.
This style is made from 100% linen, giving it a light and flowy feel that's absolutely perfect for the summer months in the UK or warmer climates abroad. It makes a nice poit of difference from our cotton version of the Safari Jacket, that has a slightly more utilitarian feel to it. Made in the Midlands, England, from 100% linen that's made by Baird McNutt over in Ireland. We designed this jacket and our collection of men's safari travel clothing with summer simulated game days, European warmer climate partridge shooting and Safari/Travel in mind.
Highest quality 100% woollen tweed, milled by Lovat Mill in Hawick, Scottish Borders
Fabric then sent to Northamptonshire, England, to our master coatmakers, with over 40 years' experience. Marked, cut, sewn by hand
Rigorous quality control inspection by people not machines
Key Performance Features:
A same cloth buggy lining across the shoulders with the rest of the jacket being fully unlined to ensure the jacket is as light as possible
Real horn buttons
Internal draw string for fit adjustment to give the wearer flexibility to synch the waist
Working shirt cuff for extra movement and functionality
Two bellows lower pockets with button flap, suitable for cartridges
Two inverted pleat external breast pocket with button flap
Two internal breast pockets
Shirt style collar, that can be worn down for a slightly more formal look, or worn up for informal style or protection for the sun
Set in sleeve construction
Please note the measurements are ‘Chest measurement is armpit to armpit. Back Length from neck seam to base’ and the ‘Sleeve length from centre neck to cuff end.’ These are all made to within half an inch of tolerance.
