The Farlows Burham Tweed Vest is a fantastic new addition to our Farlows ladies collection. We have developed this vest to suit both town and country. It is a very versatile piece and works really well as a layer under one of our coats, or to be worn over some of our knitwear on the milder Autumnal and winter days we have ahead of us.
It features a high sloping edge nehru collar, a plain back and charming patch pockets. A very versatile vest that will be at home in any ladies’ wardrobe. As with the majority of our Farlows collection, the Burnham tweed vests are proudly made in England, with tweed made in the Scottish Borders.
Colour Available: Brown Herringbone and Spruce Thistle Check
Spruce/Thistle Check is a new tweed we developed, which is exclusive to Farlows. Woven in Hawick, Scottish Borders. It is a fantastic mid-weight tweed weighing 430g per running metre. Grounds of lovat, olive and sage green with a thistle/heather coloured triple over check
Brown Herringbone is also woven in Hawick, Scottish Borders. It is another lovely tweed that is mid-weight, weighing 430g per running metre. It is a medium-set herringbone layout comprising of a mix of dark sand and espresso browns
Fabric then sent to Northamptonshire, England, to our master coatmakers, with over 40 years’ experience. Marked, cut, sewn by hand
Rigorous quality control inspection by people not machines
Military twill lining, for ease to slip on and off with layers underneath
One zippered internal pocket
Two patch pockets with Alcantara trim on the entry
Plain back panel
Double mini vents for ease of movement and a touch of flair
High nehru collar, with a sloping detail to the front edges of the nehru
