A favourite winter coat that fits just right, should make you feel truly special when you throw it on. Not only should it be warm, dry and built to last, it should make you feel confident and to go about your day with purpose. This is one of those coats.
Our Farlows Raglan coat has taken some time to perfect, with earlier iterations being available in past recent winter seasons. We have refined our design to the current two options, with no doubt about how timeless they are. They are true investment pieces for any wardrobe, and if looked after will truly last a lifetime, and with that, only get better with age too.
We use two different high-quality British and Irish tweeds:
1.Donegal Brown Herringbone
·Woven for us by Magee in Donegal, Ireland
·A glorious 560 g/m tweed that feels very soft and has a beautiful drape
·Donegal tweed is renowned for its tufts of coloured wool added into the weave, giving a burst of colour whilst staying minimal and understated
Colour Available: Donegal Brown Herringbone Tweed
Sizes Available: Chest 38in - 46in
Please note sizing is to fit chest size. The coat is designed to fit slightly larger to allow for layering underneath.

Rigorous quality control inspection by people not machines
The raglan sleeve was first created for FitzRoy Somerset, the 1st Baron Raglan. He lost his arm at the Battle of Waterloo in 1815 and later commanded British troops in the Crimean War. His tailor designed the sleeve for him, which extends from the underarm all the way up and across to the top of the shoulder and neck seam, cutting the armhole much bigger and the sleeve to be constructed as one piece onto the coat. Making the armhole much bigger allows for far greater freedom of movement in the coat, and it has therefore become a staple in British country clothing ever since.
