Although some of us may be spending an occasional day out after rabbits or pigeons, or perhaps keeping our eye in with a clay session or two, for many the end of the main shooting season means putting the gun away for summer.

To ensure it is put to sleep in pristine condition our shooting advisor, Will Hogan, has produced a highly informative ‘End of Season Shotgun Care Guide’ video and selected the essential kit you require to do the job like a professional. So sit back and take in his top tips on caring for your shotgun.

Will's Top Shotgun Cleaning Products
  1. SO4 Bisley Gun Cleaning Kit - A great value, compact kit comprising a cleaning rod with three heads.

A Pheasant in the Freezer? As well as being time to put the gun to bed this time of year also sees many of us with a surfeit of pheasant in the freezer. To ensure it is used to best advantage we asked our ‘celebrity cook’ Annie Assheton to come up with some recipes that use the whole bird in a host of inventive ways – she did not disappoint, as you can read in her totally mouth-watering blog!
