Fred Richardson

My fishing started back in the mid-seventies in Southwest Scotland on family holidays, fishing burns, rivers and Lochs. Back home in London fishing Hampstead Heath ponds and the Grand Union Canal and catching coarse fish.

In 1977, I first walked into Farlows as a customer and was helped and pointed in the right direction. In 2010 I started working at Farlows and really enjoy being one of the team. I now give advice on fishing tackle for many types of fishing both in the UK and abroad. I am lucky to have a group of very good fishing friends, who I travel the world with.

So my fishing rod really has become a magic wand, taking me to places I only dreamed about going to; these include  Africa, North America, South America, Europe, Asia and Australia.
