Ed Solomons Joins the Farlows Team

Shooting coach and former FITASC Sporting World Champion, Ed Solomons, joins Farlows as a brand ambassador for shooting and fieldwear.

Farlows is delighted to announce the appointment of Ed Solomons as a shooting and fieldwear brand ambassador.

Having learned to shoot at the age of 13, Ed progressed to gain twelve England caps, culminating in captaining the England Sporting Team to a team gold medal and individual bronze medal in 2012. Ed is also a winner of the Clay Shooting Classic British Sportrap Championship and of multiple domestic titles. Ed’s passion and determination saw him not only win titles at both national and international levels, but also to win the 2014 World FITASC Championship.

Transferring his talent into clay and game coaching, Ed has rapidly seen his students win championships and national team placings and his client portfolio now extends to include overseas customers, who travel to the UK to work with Ed to improve their shooting performance.

Ed Solomons said of being appointed as a brand ambassador for Farlows:

“I am really excited to be able to work with such a well-established and respected brand as Farlows. I have always made a point of only associating myself with the best quality equipment and service providers and Farlows represents just that. They provide the highest quality products backed up by a fantastic level of personal and expert service, which sets them apart from other brands. The new fieldwear collection is an embodiment of their brand, offering style and function in equal measure. I'm genuinely excited to get out in the field and put it through its paces.”

Farlows Managing Director, Robin Philpott, commented on the partnership:

“Ed’s passion for shooting and the expertise and authority he brings to the sport is evident and his gift for coaching is rapidly becoming recognised across the world. His professionalism, combined with his ability to engage with shooters of all ages and abilities, makes him a unique talent and we are delighted to welcome him to the wider Farlows team.”

A freshwater biologist by training I drifted into angling journalism and am now Farlows Group marketing manager. A hopelessly inadequate fly angler (the team are hoping to put that right.) I have fished all over the world and am now most at home fishing for River Test grayling, River Ebro catfish, Indian mahseer, or battling giant freshwater stingray on the Thai rivers. Away from my rod I do a bit of shooting and a lot of fruit and vegetable growing!
